By the way, if you’ve been to the site before you may have noticed that once again I’ve changed its appearance. Guess I’m simply never satisfied. Maybe this time will be different and I’ll keep this look for awhile.

And there’s more for today!

I previously mentioned that I just may add more recipes today, and as it turns out I’ve done just that. Here’s another assortment for your cooking pleasure:

More Vegetables

Today I have just added some more recipes for vegetables, but I hope to be adding recipes for other foods later today if time permits. Here’s what is new so far today:

Spring has arrived!

Finally, after many cold days and nights our dear friend Spring has returned. That’s not to say that we won’t get any more snow storms, because we usually do, but it means that gardening and especially vegetable gardening is right around the corner. Maybe that will be sooner for you than for me, but in any case it means I’m usually cooking more vegetables.

Here are a few new recipes that I’ve just added:

Stew and more

Hi there! I certainly hope you are enjoying your day. I’ve just added a few new recipes and I hope you and your family enjoy them. They are:

An Update and an Omelet

Hi everyone. This morning I was able to complete the new look for Shoebox Recipes and I hope you like it. There may be a few bugs floating around that I haven’t yet located, but I am on the lookout for them. Hopefully there aren’t any.

At this point I’ve only added one new recipe, an Open Faced French Ham Omelet. It’s easy to make and serves 4 or 5. I’ll be adding more great recipes soon. Enjoy!

Just a note

I’ve just changed the theme for this blog. The old theme had a few problems that I simply couldn’t fix and that bugged the heck out of me. It was nice, it matched the main site, but links to the new recipes simply refused to show up on the main page.

An additional note. I’m working on a new look for the main site, one that is in shades of tan and just might be easier on the eyes. Well, at least my old eyes. It has a more sophisticated appearance as well. I personally find it calming. I’ll keep you posted on its progress here, but it shouldn’t be too long before it goes live.

Also, when I can, I will try to take some photos of the dishes that the recipes produce. That in itself is an undertaking as I can’t and won’t cook everything in a day or even in a year – there’s just too many! But you will eventually see more photos being added.

Dreaming of warmth

And all that goes with warmer weather too.

Hi everyone. Welcome to 2010 and I’m hoping for a much better year for all of us. I’m also wishing for warmer weather at the moment, we’ve already seen quite a bit of snow here and winter has barely gotten started. But enough of that. However, it has influenced my choice of new recipes to add today in that a few are probably going to be best enjoyed during the summertime. Here’s what is new:
