The first time that I ever had Fish & Chips was during a trip to San Francisco many years ago. It was inexpensive and was served wrapped in newspaper, which I was told was the English way to serve it. Doused with malt vinegar and salt, it was the most delicious deep fried battered fish that I’d ever tasted. And, the fries (or chips) were superbly done with a bit of crispness on the outside and soft inside, not at all like the dried out and overcooked fries that you find at fast food joints these days.

I’ve just added a recipe for English Fish and Chips and I’m sure you will find it to be delightful. Newspaper wrapping is not required unless you really feel the urge to serve it that way.

Just a note to let you know that there have been quite a number of new recipes added to the site. Too many to mention here but the five latest ones are in the sidebar on the site. Yummy stuff too!
