Hi everyone! I suppose I am already preparing for upcoming holidays with a couple of the latest additions to Shoebox Recipes. The newest recipes to join the collection are:

• Orange Cream Cheese Frosting
• Orange Zucchini Cake, which uses Orange Cream Cheese Frosting if you wish
• Pumpkin Walnut Cheesecake, which is great for fall as well as for Halloween festivities
• Lady Baltimore Cake, which has its own frosting and filling and would be wonderful at Christmas parties

These latest two recipes makes a special old favorite, Nesselrode Pie with Chocolate. The pie is made with Nesselrode Sauce so there’s a recipe for it as well. By the way, the sauce is great on ice cream too.

Fall is just around the corner and it is a great time to think soup! I’ve just added a slow cooker recipe for a long-time favorite, Beef and Barley Soup for a Slow Cooker.

Have chicken breasts and don’t quite know what you want to do with them? You can try the latest chicken recipe that I’ve just added to the collection, Baked Lemon Chicken. I hope you and yours enjoy it!

The latest recipe at this time is for Home Grown Peach Mango Salsa and is my own recipe creation (as of just about two hours ago). Other than the mango, all of the other ingredients were grown in my own backyard but they can also be easily found in your local grocery store.  So far we’ve tried it on rice and grilled chicken but you could find many other uses for it. The heat level depends on which chilies you choose to use. Enjoy!
