A few quick and easy recipes

Hi everyone! I’ve just added the following recipes that are very easy to make:

  • Southern Style Summer Squash - This recipe combines yellow squash with zucchini and onions. They are cooked in butter until very tender and seasoned with salt and pepper.
  • Featherweight Pancakes – These delicious pancakes are made with stiffly beaten egg whites, beaten egg yolks, salt, flour and cottage cheese.
  • Creamy Roasted Garlic Dressing - This low-fat dressing is made with roasted garlic, yogurt, parmesan cheese, olive oil, lemon juice, mustard and anchovies.

Cakes and another dessert

Hi everyone! Today I’ve added the following recipes that are super easy to make:

  • Almond Flip-Top Cake with Orange Filling - make it with a cake mix, almonds, sugar and butter. The filling is orange juice based.
  • Angel Food Cake with Coffee Cream - made with an angel food cake, whipped cream, instant coffee, sugar and vanilla.
  • Baby Orange Babas - made with a yellow cake mix and soaked with a syrup made with sugar, water, orange juice and orange peel.
  • Butterscotch Torte Supreme – This cake recipe uses a yellow cake mix that is filled with a pudding mixture made with butterscotch pudding, dates, walnuts and butter. The sides are frosted with a fluffy white frosting.
  • Chocolate Chiffon Dessert – This easy to make dessert is made with a crust of vanilla wafer crumbs, walnuts and butter. The filling is made with gelatin, chocolate syrup, vanilla and whipped evaporated milk.

By the way, if you’ve been to the site before you may have noticed that once again I’ve changed its appearance. Guess I’m simply never satisfied. Maybe this time will be different and I’ll keep this look for awhile.

More Vegetables

Today I have just added some more recipes for vegetables, but I hope to be adding recipes for other foods later today if time permits. Here’s what is new so far today:

Spring has arrived!

Finally, after many cold days and nights our dear friend Spring has returned. That’s not to say that we won’t get any more snow storms, because we usually do, but it means that gardening and especially vegetable gardening is right around the corner. Maybe that will be sooner for you than for me, but in any case it means I’m usually cooking more vegetables.
